He doesn't want a Summer relationship

There's this guy that says he loves me, and I really think I love him too. He always tells me how much he wants to be with me, but he just doesn't want to have a girl friend because it's Summer, and he doesn't want a Summer relationship because he doesn't want to feel tied down, he doesn't think that he can be the best boyfriend he should during the Summer, and he doesn't want to feel like he always has to be with me and not be able to hang out with other people. Summer just started, and he says that eventually he does want to go out, and wants to wait until the school year. He said one of the main reasons he doesn't want to be my boyfriend during the Summer is because of the parties, he's scared he'll get wasted at a party and do something he regrets with someone, and during the school year he says that the parties die down. I believe him about all this, but I just hope I'm not making myself believe him because i love him so much. I can't tell if all this is B.S. or if he's telling the truth. What should I do?

Just keep talking to him over the Summer and see what happens - he's probably telling the truth
