Park City!!
Park City is one of the most exclusive ski vacation destinations in the United States. Its luxury accomodations
and beautiful scenery draws celebrities year round. But, there's much to be said for Park City as a quiet romantic getaway
destination, as well.
Park City was 'discovered' by prospecting U.S. Army soldiers in the late 1800's and was a bustling mining town for
many years. In the 1920's, skiing became popular and Park City was a prime destination. In 2002, Park City was host to
many downhill skiing Olympic events. For a taste of Park City's rich history, visit their Museum and
Territotial Jail.
Nowadays, Park City is home to a bustling night life, gourmet dining, and luxury hotels. Park City's Main Street
is host to numerous night clubs and bars, including the upscale bar "The Black Pearl", the celebrity hot-spot "Harry O's", and
the Cisero's, the hip and trendy nightclub.
In addition to world class ski runs, Park City features numerous Spring and Summer activities. Just a few of Park City's
off-season attractions include: Horseback Riding, Historical Tours, Golf, Fishing, Hunting, Hot Air Ballooning, and cultural
events.
The Park City Winterfest takes place each January. The annual Winterfest features concerts, skiing, snowmobiling, and
sled dogging events, fireworks, and an ice sculpture competition.
Park City is also a romantic location for a wedding! There are many venues set up specifically for weddings year-round.
Suitors can easily obtain a marriage license at the Summit County Clerk's office in nearby Coalville, at 60 North Main St.
No blood test is required. Applicants must be at least 18, and have picture ID. The $50 charge includes two certified copies,
