Teen Advice - My Ex-Boyfriend is Dating My Best Friend, But
|
Dear Dr. TRuth,
My ex-boyfriend and I like each other again.
We went out at the beginning of the school year.
Then about a month ago he and my best friend
started going out with my consent.
Since my best friend did not want me mad at
her she asked my permission.
I was talking to my ex
and he told me that he
likes me. He even told me that he liked me when he
was going out with my
best friend, but couldn't change his mind like that
fast, so he went out with
her.
Now, we are still good friends. But I want us
to get back together.
What do I do?
Confused

Dear Confused
Wait till he breaks up with her and let him handle it.
If he really likes you, why is he still with her?
Are
they still going out? If so, why?
I'm not sure about
his behavior. Do you really need to go out with
someone if you still like someone else.
I think he is
more confused than you are.
hang on until you feel
the moment is right and see if you and he can talk
seriously about the situation.
Don't forget, since
your best friend was nice enough to ask you if you
minded, you might have to return the favor.
Personally, I hate triangles. This is all too "up
close and personal" for my taste.
Your ex must love
the position of having two girls wanting him. He's the
one that needs to make the move.
If he doesn't, well,
maybe he's not being as honest as you think he is.
Sincerely, Dr. TRuth
